FireDogLake posted an article today about a Lt. Col. Daniel
Davis who has submitted an article to Congress containing classified
information pertaining to various failures that have recently occurred in the
war in Afghanistan. His intention was to bring forth the truth about what is
happening out there, truth that can and will affect firsthand the soldiers that
are sent there to fight for our country. The article goes on to describe the
various movements by the Obama administration against similar “whistleblowers”,
and it seems that Davis will be no exception.
I am one who is a supporter of truth, whether it hurts or not. I highly respect Lt. Col. Davis for facing the risks of his actions. Our soldiers fight to protect us, and any military intel, whether it looks bad or not, should not be undisclosed; any available information would only strengthen our military strategy, and would reinforce our troops.
